It’s a first for Newcastle…. Mimaki 3D printer [3DUJ-553] has achieved the full color modeling with the capability of world first^*1 over 10 million colors based on our developed technology of 2D inkjet printers of professionals use.

Having rich color expression is better suited to create a final product such as real object sign or building model, of which an extra coloring has been difficult after the completion of modeling.

Photorealistic, high definition modeling with more than 10 million colors can be used for the production of figures and prototyping of toys.

Architectural Modeling

Partial transparency such as representation of glass windows and transparent exteriors are convenient means of show the internal structure of models. This effect is difficult to achieve with handcrafted models or plaster-based 3D printer outputs. Partial transparency can be applied to architectural models, combining the exterior and interior structures.

Medical Modeling

Full-color 3D printing is suitable for the creation of color-coded organ models. Translucent color (transparent with added color) expressions are also capable of visualizing the interior of organs, which will be favorable as practical medical models.
